This work is an investigation on the way how the texture and tension between the two and three dimensions coexist in a representative object. The column shape results from translate sculpturally the successive pineapple stages of ripening. Pentagonal section allows to surround the piece offering alternatively the view of two facets like a flat and three facets as tridimensional object. The concavity of each facet is the negative volume of the real fruit, in strange coexistence with the naturalistic texture.
Esta obra es una investigación sobre como conviven la textura y la tensión entre las dos y las tres dimensiones en el objeto representativo. La forma de columna es consecuencia de traducir escultóricamente los sucesivos estadios de maduración de la piña. La planta pentagonal permite, al rodear la pieza, ofrecer alternativamente la vista de dos facetas como un plano y de tres facetas como objeto tridimensional. La concavidad de cada faceta es el volumen en negativo de la piña real, en extraña coexistencia con la textura naturalista.
