This work about sadism is material resulting from an action made with pine processionary caterpillars. A characteristic behavior of these animals is that they tend to move in rows, which sometimes can reach considerable lengths. In a clearing, a group of them was set out on the table, and my role was to make close the line to get a circle and see what happened then; the caterpillars kept spinning training in that circle for six days . The natural instinct to follow the tracks of the previous each led them to keep that figure for four days and four nights. Each photograph, taken around 17:00 hours, for each one of those days. In the table can appreciate the remains of lymph and yarns which the caterpillars were leaving at that time. /
Esta obra acerca del sadismo consiste en el material resultante de una acción realizada con orugas procesionarias del pino. Un comportamiento característico de estos animales es que suelen desplazarse en filas, que a veces pueden alcanzar longitudes considerables. En un claro de bosque, un grupo de éstas fue puesto sobre la mesa que se expone, y mi papel consistió en lograr cerrar la fila para conseguir un círculo y ver qué sucedía entonces; las orugas conservaron la formación girando en ese círculo durante seis días. El instinto natural de las orugas de seguir cada una a la anterior les llevó a mantener esa figura durante cuatro días y cuatro noches. Cada fotografía, tomada sobre las 17:00 horas, corresponde a cada uno de esos días. En la mesa se aprecian los hilos y restos de linfa que fueron dejando las orugas en ese tiempo.
